Salceda to Pedrouzo

We had a nice breakfast and set off to Pedrouzo at around 9. This was a bit later than normal as we had a short day. We enjoyed walking through the villages and countryside and our stops for coffee and juice. We got to the village Rua before Pedrouzo and it began to get rather hot. The last couple of km along the busy road into Pedrouzo were a real slog - no shade, a climb, hot unforgiving pavement and concrete. We were glad to stop at the first grill bar and have a rest and revive ourselves. They were very kind and helpful people and it was nice to get in the shade.
Eventually we went along to our appartment which was just off the  path back to the camino. It was in a quiet residential area with kids playing outside and the flat had a washing machine and comfy beds and a bath for Mum.
After a rest we went out to bar Pedrouzo that has one meal of the day - steak and chips and salad. We had two steaks each and a hot stone on the table to finish the steaks off on. Very theatrical. We had beer and a bottle of wine, bread and desserts and the whole bill was 30 eur. We went back to the flat to recuperate for the next day and there was a big storm at midnight.
