Today I managed to walk 26km to Carrion de los Condes to stay at the Aubergue Santa Maria which is run by 'the singing nuns'. I arrived at 13.30
I started from Boadilla at sunrise at it is so hot at the moment, even the pilgrim from southern Spain said it was hot. The first part of the journey was along the Castille canal. I saw people checking crayfish traps. I stopped for a rest at each village but even so I was ready to call it a day at the town 6km away. However, I ran into Deborah and Nicole again and they persuaded me to keep going and after a beer and a couple of pinchos I speeded through to the final goal. We met a group of Taiwanese teachers on the way. I called them the Arctic explorers.
